A Physical Specimen

Jake Knight is a physical specimen, pure and simple.  Last Thursday Rocky Mountain High School was hosted by Boise High School at Dona Larson Field. Because the surrounding buildings downtown are quite tall, when the sun goes behind them there is this beautiful light in the stadium, I mean gorgeous light. This awesome light was present when Jake used his 6’4″ 225 lb. frame to leap into the air and to snag a really pretty pass from QB Riley Bradshaw. He got up and there wasn’t a kid on the Boise roster big enough to challenge him, and Jake made it look easy. I captured the entire sequence with that awesome light helping me out, and when I got home I sat in my chair and thought to myself, “Yes, this is why I love photography!” To ensure folks didn’t think his catch was a fluke, he made another catch with similar athleticism, which I also captured. There was a recruiter from the University of Oregon there, and if I heard right, he was there to see Jake play. If he wasn’t, then he surely took notice because Jake made some amazing catches and pretty well dominated, and I quietly pumped my fist when I knew I got the shot.
